IgA
It is inspired by immunoglobulin IgA. It is a dimer made of two Y-shaped monomers, connected by a central J chain (the silver part). The five structural domains are represented by sea-blue beads. These beads symbolize the secretory piece, which protects IgA from degradation. mainly found in the secretions of the gastrointestinal tract and bronchi, as well as in early breast milk, saliva, and tears. It is important for mucosal immunity and infection prevention. The body synthesizes IgA after 4-6 months. However, infants can receive secretory IgA (sIgA) from their mother's colostrum. This helps protect them from respiratory and digestive infections. It is a gift from mother to child.
