Life has always revealed itself to me through the hidden structures beneath what we see. From cells and molecules to the complex systems that shape life, science reveals a world of extraordinary order, connection, and transformation.

As a bio-artist, I translate scientific research into art through traditional Chinese craftsmanship, including embroidery and pankou — ornate knot buttons rooted in Chinese clothing traditions. My creative process begins with research: exploring scientific structures, patterns, relationships, and narratives, then transforming their visual and conceptual qualities into materials, textures, colors, forms, and handcrafted works.

Through this process, traditional Chinese craftsmanship becomes a visual language for experiencing scientific ideas in a tactile and poetic way. Each creation is a dialogue between scientific knowledge and artistic interpretation — between what can be observed, what can be understood, and what can be felt.

My work ranges from embroidered artworks and pankou accessories to wearable art and custom-designed garments, all of which can be created in response to a client’s scientific background, interests, and personal story.

For me, art is a way to make science felt.​ Seeing the universe within every cell is a way of discovering the vastness and complexity of life. Through this microscopic perspective, I hope viewers can experience the quiet wonder, fragility, and beauty in life itself.
